Norma Joan Maxson, age 73, of Manassas, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Inova Fairfax Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1943 in Summerset, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late John R. and Daisy (Wolford) Peterson. She retired as office manager for the National Rehabilitation Counseling Association. Survivors include her husband, Thomas D. Maxson; two children, Kevin D. Maxson and wife Jessica of Herndon, Virginia and Jennifer L. Pipinou and husband Chris of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one grandchild, Thomas D. Maxson; two sisters, Lacyne Kaufman of Hernado, Florida and Janet Curtis of Verndale, Washington.
