Norma Jean Thul, 77, of Algona, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa in Mason City.
Norma Jean Reding, the daughter of Ralph and Susan (Mergen) Reding, was born on February 22, 1938 in Whittemore. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1956. Norma Jean was united in marriage to Roger John Thul on October 8, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Norma Jean enjoyed quilting, baking, playing cards, BINGO and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Left to cherish Norma Jean’s memory are her sons, George (Julie) Thul of Tucson, AZ, Gary (Tami) Thul of Tucson, AZ, James (Sergio) Thul of Lakewood, CA, Nicholas Thul of Brea, CA and Mark Thul of Algona; six grandchildren, Jason, Jenna, Samantha, Alexa, Abbey and Savannah; a brother, Gerald (Maxine) Reding; and a sister, Joan (Jerry) Girres of Bode. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister, Patricia Goecke.
