Norma Jean Coles Montgomery, 85, of Indianapolis passed away on June 18, 2017. She was born on December 12, 1931 to the late Jesse Coles and Ruth Turner. Norma Jean and her husband James K. Montgomery, known as “Smokey”, owned Indy Machine Company, Inc. for 32 years retiring in 2001. Previously they owned Montgomery Machine for nine years, selling the company in 1969. She was a member in the Indianapolis Norma Jean Club, and most importantly she was a member of the Body of Christ. In her spare time Norma Jean enjoyed watching sports, especially her children and grandchildren playing baseball, basketball, tennis and running.

Norma Jean is survived by her children James Steven Montgomery, Terry Kenneth Montgomery, Jessica Montgomery Bau (Jimmy); grandchildren Amber, Austin, Ashley, Stephanie, Josh, Brittanie, Camille, Chastin, Angel, Jennifer; great-grandchildren Ella, Kinsley, Harper,  Lillie, Jaxson, Joseph, Peyton, Eva,Kaylynn, Chloe, Leah; sister-in-law Carolyn Montgomery; brother-in-law Harold Montgomery and several nieces, nephews and cousins in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
