Details: Norma J. Morris ,84, a resident of Pasadena for 15 years formerly of Hawaii, died November 9, 2015 at the Mandrin Hospice House in Harwood. She was born September 19, 1931 in Baltimore to the late George and Mildred Joy. Mrs. Morris was a member of the Poplar Ridge Sr. Club, and the Elvaton Baptist Church. She traveled with her husband all over the world during his army career. When living in Hawaii she was a loving care giver and companion to many and in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s volunteered and helped with fundraisers for the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra. She was a gourmet cook, enjoyed modeling and running marathons in Hawaii. She retired from the Dept. of the Army in the early 90’s after over 25 years of service. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years James D. Morris, and a sister Nancy Young. She is survived by a niece Carole Leonard of Pasadena, 2 nephews Karl Young of the Eastern Shore and David Coursey of Catonsville, also survived by 10 great nieces and nephews and 15 great-great nieces and nephews.
