Norma J. Hutson Mitchell, 62, Markleville, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2010 at I.U. Medical Center-Indianapolis. She was born December 1, 1947 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Madison County most of her life. Norma was a graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. She retired from E.D.S. Division of General Motors after 32 years of service.
Norma is survived by her husband whom she married February 27, 1982, Gerald Mitchell; mother, Margaret Hutson of Anderson; sons, Jason Tompkins Valarie Frost of Muncie and Thomas Tompkins; daughter, Melissa Merz Jason of Danville; siblings, Sandy Graham Jack of Anderson, Peggy Stewart Gary of Greenwood and Wayne Hutson Carla of Pendleton; step-children, Allen Mitchell Diane of Muncie, Susan Couteau Larry of Phoenix, Arizona and David Mitchell Julie of Florida; grandchildren, Keylyn Tompkins, Regan Frost, Ashton Frost, Kylar Frost and Hutson Merz; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Hutson.
