Norma Joyce (Parkins) Hake passed away March 2nd as a result of Congestive Heart Failure. Norma was born February 6, 1930 in Los Angeles, California to Everett and Agnes (Haug) Parkins. She grew up in Milltown, Wisconsin surrounded by family and where she graduated from High School in 1948. She attended business classes in Minneapolis, MN which began her love of business. In August 1951 she married her high school sweetheart, Don Hake. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2011. To that union were born two children; Steven Hake and Charmaine Hake Stappler. She loved her family very much and enjoyed working as a secretary/Administrative Assistant as well as camping, baking and canning their fresh garden produce.
Norma battled many health issues throughout her adult life and proved to be a fighter. She is survived by husband Don, daughter Charmaine and son-in-law Larry Stappler from Boise, as well as 2 grandsons (Jacob and Luke Stappler) living in Alaska, one grandson (Dylan Hake) in Texas and a granddaughter (Amanda Richardson) and her family in Meridian. She was preceded in death by her son Steven in 1991.
