Norma Louise (Brenner) Auster, 90, , South Glastonbury, wife of the late David Auster, died February 12, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Jeanette (Zagoren) Brenner and had lived in Middletown most of her life. Norma worked for many years in the Financial Aid Office at Middlesex Community College where she took great pride in helping students reach their educational goals. She was a member of Congregation Adath Israel Synagogue, Middletown, where she proudly sent her son and daughter to Hebrew School for years and years and years.
She is survived by her son, Peter Auster and his wife Lisa Wahle, of Chester; her daughter Leslie Friedlander and her husband Harris Friedlander; and three grandchildren David Friedlander, Tiffany Friedlander and Charles Friedlander and his partner, Jay Gartland.
