Norma A. Searles, age 86 of Norwalk, CT and recently of Summerfield, FL, died on April 27, 2011 at The Villages Regional Hospital in Lady Lakes, FL. Born in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late William and Josephine (Coutermash) Wood. She was an avid writer of poetry and had many articles of interest printed in the local newspapers. She was a gentle, caring soul and made many friends wherever she went.
Mrs. Searles is survived by 3 daughters and a son; Joanne Pape of Norwalk, Debbie Emmerson and her husband Walter, and Donna Custer all of Summerfield, FL, and Brian Pape and his wife Sandy of North Port, FL, and 4 cherished grandchildren; Edward Arnold III, Robin Custer Jr., Allie and Danny Pape. She was pre-deceased by a sister Verna Hamm. She leaves behind many cherished friends and extended family at Broad River Homes, her last residence in Norwalk for some 18 years prior to her recent move to Florida to be with her family.
