Mortensbak, Nordis Kathryn, age 76, passed away peacefully Dec 5, 2010 in Flagstaff, AZ with her beloved family by her side.
Nordis was born Aug 20, 1934 to Harold Hansen & Dagmar Satree in Boone Co., NE being the youngest of 8 children.
She loved and treasured her family with children: Susan Sgrignoli (Mandy,Christine), Pam Anderson (Corey, Matt), Jodi Petersen (Aliah), Don & Roberta Mortensbak (Sarah, Dustin), David Mortensbak (David Ray), Jack Mortensbak and 10 great-grandchildren: Christian, Cain, Alexandra, Cammy, Annalise, Quinn, Tre’, Kade, Trinity and Shams.
Nordis raised her family in Piedmont, SD while working in Admissions at the Fort Meade VA Hospital for 25+ years. She then retired and moved to Wickenburg, AZ where she worked part-time at the Hassayampa Elementary school cafeteria. She so enjoyed seeing the children’s smiling faces each day. Due to unexpected health issues, she moved to Ponderosa Pines Care & Rehab in Flagstaff, AZ in 2007.
