Norbert H. “Norb” Olbrys, 87, of Moberly died Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Valley View Rehabilitation Center in Moberly. Norb was born October 14, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to John and Josephine (Sonnenfeld) Olbrys.
Norb served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to retirement he was a correctional officer with the Moberly Correctional Center.
He married Freeda Fischer on July 14, 1978, in Macon. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2002. Also preceding him in death were his parents a brother Edmund Olbrys, and a sister Edwinea Olbrys.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
