Norbert C. Harnish 79, of Freeport died Saturday February 12, 2005 at his home. Born May 9, 1925 in Freeport he was the son of Clyde E. and Anna H. (Meise) Harnish. He and Mabel “Marie” Erdmier were married on June 11, 1947. Mr. Harnish worked as a supervisor for Furst McNess for 41 years. He was an Army veteran of WWII and in the Army reserve for 10yrs. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling.He is survived by his wife Marie of Freeport; 2 sons Dennis Harnish of Spokane, Washington, Steve Harnish of Freeport; 4 sister in laws Viola Harnish, Edith (Robert) Riley, Florence Erdmier all of Freeport, Edna Alvey of Shannon; 3 grandchildren Jennifer (Greg) Pirie, Chad Harnish, Jessica (Ben) Dudley all of Washington; 3 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, one sister Frances and one brother Harold.
