Nora Maxine “Mackie” Dodd, 86, of Fort Oglethorpe, departed this life Monday, January 30, 2017, with her family by her side.
She is preceded in death by her “sweetheart husband” of 48 years J.T. Dodd and her parents B.S. & Gertrude Russell. Mackie was the last survivor of 10 children in the Russell family.
Survivors are her “beautiful daughters” Diane Dodd Garner, Joy Dodd, and Mary Ann Brown; brother-in-law, Cantrell (Nadean) Dodd; sister-in-law, Sarah Russell; great-granddaughter, Emma Kate Capehart; and she also leaves several “awesome” nieces and nephews.
