Nona Hayes Dayton, 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Star Valley, Wyoming. She was born on September 25, 1921 in her grandmother’s little log home in Bloomington, Idaho to Lilburn Ernest Hayes and Azella May Thornock Hayes.
Nona began her childhood in Georgetown, Idaho until she was 5 years old, and then her family moved to Cokeville, Wyo. She was able to attend school until the fourth grade and then her family moved back to Georgetown, Idaho. In spring of 1937 her family returned to Cokeville and enjoyed the life of ranching, cooking for men, and taking care of their family.
Nona was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
