She was born October 19, 1923, to William Heber Adams and Arlitta Hatfield Adams, in Alpine, Wyoming. She was one of eleven children, eight girls and three boys, one being her twin sister, Rita.

She grew up in Irwin, Swan Valley, Idaho. She moved to Lincoln, Idaho, to go to school, and that’s where she met Melvin Beasley, they fell in love and that ended her school days, which she didn’t mind at all since she was not a big fan of school!

Together, they had  four children, Bruce, Devon, Jody, and Kelley.

Nita was a mother and a homemaker and worked as a housekeeper at the Westbank Motel in Idaho Falls for nearly 30 years.

She was a wonderful homemaker, canning from the garden. Everyone loved her raspberry jam, homemade chicken noodle soup, sourdough bread, and pancakes! Nita was very passionate about her oil painting and was a well-known artist throughout her family and friends.
