Nina Carter Day, 90, Anderson, passed away October 26, 2011 at her residence. She was born May 13, 1921 in Burkesville, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson most of her life.
Nina retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 37 years of service. She was a member of Mounds Baptist Church, the UAW Local #662 and Delco Remy Travel Club.
Nina loved working in her flowers. She is survived by her four children, Janie Holland Jerry of Anderson, Nelda “Nell” Clark Gary of Shirley, Shirley Boyd of Anderson and Michael Day Cindy of Anderson; brother, Clyde Carter Mary Lou of Middletown; sister, Betty Neal of Markleville; grandchildren, Randy Holland, Debbie Baker Marvin, Jeff Porter, Ed Clark, Max Ross, Tim Ross Stacey, Janie Hubble Jeff, Jimmy Boyd, Tracy Benzenbouer Matt and Michael Day; 11 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Sally Melton Carter; son-in-law, Larry Boyd; granddaughter, Amy Green; four brothers; one sister; and best friends, Ruth Larrance and Pauline Trice.
