Nicki Murphy, 92, of Jacksonville, IL died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 4, 1929, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Charles and Mary Gers Bommarito. She married Lawrence V. “Murph” Murphy on July 16, 1949, in St. Louis and he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 2004.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Linda Pieratt of Austin, TX, Tom (Katie) Murphy of Monument, CO, Andy Murphy of Grand Lakes, CO, and Mary (John) Vogel of Taylorville; ten grandchildren, Caroline, Madeline, Ryan, Kelley, Drew, Kristie, Adam, Lauren, Jennifer, and Shannon; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Mrs. Murphy was a member of Church of Our Saviour and had worked as a realtor for Wooldridge Real Estate. Nicki was an avid bridge player, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
