Nicholas (Nick) Dunn, 24 of Palm City, Florida, passed away on December 19, 2019, after a brief illness.
Nick was born on July 26, 1995, in Miami Beach to Brian and Jeanne Dunn. The family moved to Palm City, FL in 1999. Nick graduated as a mechanical engineer from the University of Florida in 2018. He had been employed as a UPS Facilities Engineering Manager at their Jacksonville sorting hub since graduation.
Nick brought so much love and joy to our lives and to those around him. His courage and calm demeanor under difficult circumstances were nothing short of extraordinary. He always put others before himself.
Ever since Nick was a little boy, he loved to build things. He was passionate about engineering and robotics and was very proud to be a part of the S.P.A.M. robotics team in 2012 when their robot won the world championship. He also loved to read and had a very dry wit.
Nick’s biggest passion was for his family. He leaves behind his parents, Brian and Jeanne; his brother, Tyler; his grandmothers Catherine Cooney and M. Jeanne Dunn; his aunts, Beverly Cooney, Patricia Dunn, Jayne Dunn, Leslie Evans-Dunn; his uncles, John Cooney, Alan Dunn, and Kevin Dunn; his cousins, Lauren and Kendall, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers John Cooney and George Dunn.
