Nichola “Nikki” V. Nowak, age 65, passed away at her home in Columbus, Ohio on May 11, 2014. Nikki was self-employed as an amazing & caring homecare provider . Born in South Bend to John and Phyllis (Kronewitter) Strom on May 3, 1949, Nikki graduated from St. Joseph High School and in 1968 married the love of her life, Edwin J. Nowak, Jr., who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her daughter Kristin (David) Darby, brother Kevin (Debbie) Strom, sister Kim Cumberland, cousin Karol Sue Cramer , Uncle Orville (Doris) Kronewitter and parents John and Phyllis. Nikki is survived by her extensive loving family including her daughters Traci (Mark) Conte and Eryn Nowak, brother John (Kay) Strom, sister Cindy (Greg) Daniels, sister-in-law Debbie (Kevin) Strom, brother-in-law David (Marilee) Nowak, sons-in-law David (Kristin) Darby and Scott Arnold, grandchildren Asher Fazzini Nowak, Maya Conte, Scott Arnold Jr., Miles Conte, Sofia Conte, Nina Fazzini Nowak, Simon Conte, nieces Tami (Scott) Stewart, Amanda (Bernie) Fazzini, nephews Gregory Strom (Teri Coulson), Zachary (Eric White) Cumberland, Joshua Cumberland, Nicholas Nowak, Nathaniel (Heather) Nowak, great-nieces Alyssa Fritz, Riley and Toni Coulson, Aly Cumberland, great-nephews Shane and Sam Strom, Kevin Cumberland, Nick and Nate Stewart, Aunt Doris (Orville) Kronewitter, cousins Andy (Charmaine) Kronewitter, Robyn (Jerry) Karkiewicz, Bradley (Brendan) Brememen, Denise (Brian) Keane, Mike (Amy) Cramer, Triva Screeton, Mike Keane, Joe (Courtney) Keane, Ben and Claire Cramer, and Hope and Faith Screeton. There are numerous Kronewitter cousins Nikki was close to, including Pat Richard and family, Betty Daly family, Jackie Massey, the late Bob (Mary Ann) Beyer, Marylou and Dave Pairitz, Charlotte Wolz, Bev Leader, Judy Krugh and Janet Ivacic. Nikki had many friends in Columbus, Ohio who also loved her, including Jerry and Liz Clark and Jon Groeniger.
