Neva Monzell Marshall, 78, of Galien, Michigan died Tuesday morning, April 20, 2010 with her family by her side. Neva was born May 24, 1931 in Chikaming Township, Michigan to Gail and Dorothy May (Stanage) Scheib. She loved her pets, and singing at various events with her sister, “Sis”. Neva married Robert Ray Marshall on August 12, 1950 after graduating from Galien High School.

She served as a Scout Den Mother, and as a youth leader at Olive Branch Church with her husband, Bob. Neva enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, freezing her produce, and caring for her home. She and Bob enjoyed vacationing and camping with their family. They never missed their children or grandchildren’s athletic events. Neva loved to dance, going to flea markets, antiquing, watching Wheel of Fortune and Everybody Loves Raymond, and talking on the phone with her dear friends.

She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren and reading stories to them. She liked to play Scrabble and usually won. Neva loved to feed and watch her humming birds, and would journal in her notebook every day.

Survivors include her children, Brian (Pamela) Marshall, Galien; Brenda (David) Cook, Galien; Bradley Robert Marshall (Wendy Roca), Pataskala, Ohio and Brett Marshall (Shondra White) of Galien; grandchildren, Dustin Scott Marshall, Bradley Jacob Marshall, Tayler Ray Marshall, Jared Marshall Cook, Gerrit Ethan Marshall and Avery Robert Richard Marshall; great granddaughters, Julianna Rose Marshall and Madeline Elizabeth Grace Marshall; sister, Beverly “Sis” (Robert) Stoltz, Kent, Washington; brother, Gordon (Judy) Scheib of Knox, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Belinda Rae Marshall in 1973; grandchild, Raelinda Kay Marie Cook in 1982 and her husband, Robert Ray Marshall in 2004.
