Nettie Brown passed peacefully with her family by her side at Baptist Hospital on Sept 3, 2012.  She was born in Falco, AL, on April 2, 1933. She attended Niceville High School, where she was crowned Homecoming Queen.  Nettie was a loving, compassionate and insightful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and sister.  She worked for 20 years at TG&Y then Wal-Mart as a retail associate.  She was humorous and quirky and found joy in caring for her family. Nettie was a long time fan of Wrestling.  She enjoyed completing puzzle books and playing Bingo.  Nettie always had a smile on her face, which gained her the nickname “happy”.  The best thing about her is that she always knew the right things to say.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Carris Brown, son George “Rocky” Brown, brother George “Junior” Blackwell, and sisters Lottie Johnson and Rena Jones.  She is survived by daughters Debbie, Linda and Julia; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and sisters Lois Griffin, and Mildred Caughlin along with sister-in-law Laura Belle Regans.  Also, a special thanks to

Art Jones a close neighbor and family friend.
