Passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the age of 69. Nelva was born on July 6, 1952, in Edmonton Alberta, Canada to the late John and Gene (Keyzer) Kruis. Nelva married Terry Michmerhuizen on October 16, 1970, in Holland, MI and he survives her.
She worked for Bronson Hospital in various positions for over 30 years. She enjoyed music, camping, quilting, cats, and family. She led worship singing in church, sang for special music, and sang in the choir. Now she is singing in the Heavenly Choir to her Savior.
Surviving are her loving husband, Terry; children, Daniel (Edith Cárdenas-Michmerhuizen) Michmerhuizen, Kathy (Kyle) Van Dyne; nine grandchildren, Jonathon Terrance Van Dyne, Jacob Van Dyne, Landon Van Dyne, Lucas Van Dyne, Immanuel Van Dyne, Isaac Van Dyne, Kersten Van Dyne, Mario Michmerhuizen and Mateo Michmerhuizen; brothers, Ronald (Sue) Kruis, John (Barb) Kruis and David (Deb) Kruis; and sister-in-law, Trena Kruis. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Kevin Kruis.
