Nelly Simone Picard, 77, passed away on August 8, 2022, in Hartsdale, NY.
Nelly was born on December 28, 1944 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Theodore Holly and Lucie Holly.
She spent her formative years in Haiti and attended Baruch College in New York. She met Jean Serge Picard in New York and they married in July of 1967. They had 2 daughters, Johanne Picard-Scott and Tania Picard Dominguez.
Nelly was known for her generous and gentle yet determined spirit. She loved her country of Haiti and devoted her life to making a difference both through her career in the non-profit sector as well as her extensive personal agricultural endeavors. She always held hope for the betterment of her beloved country.
Nelly is survived by her daughters Johanne Picard-Scott and Tania Picard Dominguez, her sons in law Patrick Scott and Luis Roberto Dominguez, her granddaughters Anouk Freedom Scott, Maya Cassandre Dominguez and Ela Angelique Dominguez, her sisters Maud Edith Holly, Nicole Rolande Cochy and Michelle Yanick Clodomir, her brothers in law Gerard Clodomir and Jacques Cochy, and her sisters in law Elvire Holly and Gardith Jean Francois, and all her special nieces and nephews.
Nelly is preceded in death by her spouse – Jean Serge Picard, her father – Theodore Holly, her mother – Lucie Holly, and her siblings Ghislaine Thevenot, Reynold Holly, Gesner Holly and Marie Denise Holly.
