Nelly deMey, 91, went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2009. She was born in Surabaya, Indonesia, and was the eldest of 5 children. She was married to Pieter Alexander Jacob (deceased), the love of her life, for 52 years. Both of them, along with 8 of their children, immigrated to the U.S. in 1961, from the Netherlands. They had 10 children: Arthur (deceased), Rob, Ben, Max (deceased), Sonja (deceased), Cathy (deceased), Fred, Ria, Sylvia, and Irene. Nelly was greatly blessed by an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
