NELLIE SAVORILLO, 83, a former resident of Grant County, passed away at her home in Tucson, surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 12, 2010.
Nellie was born on September 19, 1927 in Corralitos, Chihuahua to Julian and Gabriela (Pacheco) Gonzalez. She retired from Fort Bayard Medical Center where she worked for 30 years as a cook. Nellie left Grant County 8 years ago to live in Tucson, where she could be with her children for the last years of her life. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son, Michael Savorillo wife Shelley; daughter, Annette Cuevas husband Eddie; sister, Margaret Delgado; grandchildren, Edward and Daniel Cuevas, and Jessica, PJ, and Gabriela Savorillo; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Leonardo, Tony and Ramon Gonzalez; and 2 sisters, Maisie DeLaTorre and Mary Grijalva.
