Straughn- Neil Gaddis, 94, passed away Wednesday morning January 12, 2011 at the Waters of New Castle. A son of the late Ernest and Treva (Seale) Gaddis, Neil was born in Fairmount, (Grant County) Indiana on June 21, 1916. Neil graduated from the Fairmount High School with the class of 1933 and has lived in the rural Straughn community since 1936. He was co- owner of Johnson & Gaddis Milk Transport for several years before being employed as a truck driver for Marsh Supermarkets from 1960 until his retirement in 1985. Neil enjoyed watching all types of sports and has been an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan since 1926.
