Neil A. Beal, 84 of Centralia, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt Vernon IL.
He was born November 23, 1929 in Walnut Hill IL, son of Morris and Ola (Cruzen) Beal. He married Kathryn J. (Beasley) Beal on May 26, 1962 in Centralia and she survives him.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by one son, Ryan Beal and wife Heather of Rochester IL; three daughters, Julie Schultze and husband Todd of Centralia, Sherry Hart and husband Gary of Millstadt, IL, Susan Hopkins and husband Mike of Millstadt, IL; Eleven grandchildren: Alexis Schultze, Trey Schultze of Centralia, Lucas Schultze of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Morgan Hart, Brooklyn Hart, Michael Hopkins, Ellie Hopkins of Millstadt, IL, Riley Beal, Cameron Beal, Tanner Beal and Eli Beal of Rochester, IL; Two great-grandchildren: Ryder Koger and Harper Schultze; one sister Melba Ladwig and husband Ken of Centralia, IL; three nephews: Dr. Mike Ladwig, Kevin Ladwig, Pat Ladwig. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Verne Beal, and Wendell Beal.
Mr. Beal served in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the VFW Post #2055. He was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed Golfing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Beal was a loving and devoted husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather.
