Nathaniel M. Lee Sr, 83, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 when the Lord called him from labor to his eternal rest. He was born on July 10, 1932 in Independence, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Queen Ella Penn and the late Luther Lee.
Mr. Lee, as he was affectionately called, lived in Rhode Island for 43 years until his passing. He was employed by Broomfield and Son’s Foundry in Providence for 23 years. He also worked for Sonny and Dennis’ Lounge for 17 years. He was a sharp dresser and loved his Kangol caps. He has a passion for the game of baseball and would tell many funny stories about his life experiences.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted companion of 20 years, Ms. Anna Mae Burton, his 7 children, Beverly Kelley (Michael), Margret Ann Lee (Adolph), Linda Owens, Gwen Lee and Charles Lee (all of Louisiana), Ruby Lee (of Texas), April Merritt (of Providence, RI). Mr. Lee was a grandfather, a great-grandfather, a great-great-grandfather, a brother to Mrs. Eloris Austin (of Louisiana) and a good friend to Arthur Burrell. He also leaves to mourn his passing many nieces and nephews as well as many other family members and friends.
Other than his parents, Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his son Nathaniel M. Lee Jr.
