Naomi Marie Myers, 99, of Westminster died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Carroll Lutheran Village. Born January 18, 1918 in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Shaffer Smith and Paul Melvin Smith, and was the wife of the late Stewart “Stu” Myers.

            Along with her husband and other family members, she was a member of a country band known as the Melody Rangers, who once performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. During the years that her husband served abroad in the U.S. Army during World War II, she continued operating the family’s business, Stu’s Music Studio, which later became Stu’s Music Shop. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Door to Virtue Lodge No. 94. She enjoyed family activities, music, playing cards, bingo, watching baseball games, and her time at Carroll Lutheran Village.

            She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Donald and Gail Myers of Westminster, and son and daughter-in-law Larry and Jennifer Myers of Westminster. Grandchildren Suzanne and Eric Adler, Sara and John McCain, Michael and Rebecca Myers, Jane Myers, and six great- grandchildren.
