Nancy Rae Valenkamph age 51, of DeMotte, IN passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010, at her residence after a 2½ year of battle with Neuro Endocrine Cancer. She was born on November 23, 1958, to Frank and Katherine (Skinner) Scott both survive.

Nancy was a 1977 graduate of Bloomington South High School where she played volleyball & basketball. She went on to get her B.A. in Marketing at St. Joseph College in 1981 where she also played volleyball & basketball. On August 22, 1981, she married Bertil Valenkamph who survives. For the past 20 years, she worked at Kankakee Valley High School as a secretary assistant and teacher’s aide in the Learning Disabilities Class. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Christian Church and a participant & supporter of The American Cancer Society. Nancy also coached volleyball and basketball at North Newton and KV School Corporations. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
