Nancy Hine, 76, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
She was born January 20, 1944 in Salem, the daughter of Charles Nelms and Dora (Crane) Nelms. She married Richard “Dick” Hine on December 30, 1989 and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2016.
Nancy is survived by her two sons: Logan Patterson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Stephen Patterson of Kansas City, Kansas; a grandson and a granddaughter: April of Washington: three brothers and a sister: Lola Friedrich of Centralia, Charles “Bud” Nelms of Chicago, Robert “Bob” Nelms and wife Jackie of Junction City, and Eddie Nelms and wife Carolyn of Centralia; a sister-in-law: Jeanne Nelms of Centralia; a special niece: Jane Friedrich, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: Mike Patterson, two brothers: Dale Nelms and Jack Nelms, and a brother-in-law: Bill Friedrich.
Nancy was a member of the New Life Christian Church in Salem, Illinois. She had a passion for quilting. She loved her family and her cats. Nancy enjoyed going out to eat with her niece, after her husband passed away.
