Nancy Lee Montgomery Hughes Phelps, 65, of 1622 Buckhorn Drive, Danville, VA died Monday, June 6, 2011 at her residence. Born February 25, 1946 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Henry T. Cocke. She was married to Burton Phelps of the residence. Nancy was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church, was a member of the Soldiers of the Cross at Blessed Hope Baptist Church and a member of the Virginia-Carolina Classic Car Club. She formerly worked for Danville Regional Medical Center for 40 years and 4 months as a Medical Records Supervisor. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Bryan Phelps and wife, Tracy of Dry Fork and Erik “Squeaky†Phelps and wife, Angela of Danville; her grandchildren, Alena Gail Phelps and Teagan McCall Phelps and her special pet, Tosha. In addition to her father she was predeceased by one half-sister and two half-brothers.
