Nancy Middleton Hedman, 86, of Plainville, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. She is now reunited with her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 65 years, Kenneth A. Hedman, who predeceased her in 2017.
Nancy was born in New Britain on July 20, 1931, daughter to the late Lloyd and Ruth Elliott Middleton. She attended local schools, graduating from Plainville High School and went on to attend the University of New Haven, earning her bachelor’s degree and graduating with high honors.
Nancy is survived by her children, Keith Hedman, of Plainville, Karen Hedman-Ouellette, of Plainville, and Susan Hedman, of Gloucester, MA; her grandchildren, Elliott Simone and Melissa Ouellette; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family, including her sisters, Ruth Williams, of Waterford, and Barbara Presch, of Chelsea, VT; and her brother-in-law’s, David Williams, of Waterford and Robert Dixon, of White River Junction, VT. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Grace Dixon and her daughter-in-law, Lori Hedman.
