Nancy McCoski, 83, of Galesburg, passed away peacefully at 2:05 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at home with her husband by her side. She is with our Lord free of all pains. Nancy was born July 15, 1929 the daughter of Edward and Esther McKenzie Williams in Chicago. Nancy graduated High School in Chicago.
She worked for several companies as a key punch operator. She retired from Baker Taylor in Momence, IL in 1986. Nancy married Fred McCoski September 18, 1971. After retiring, they moved to Spartanburg, SC. In 2007 they moved to Galesburg to be close to daughter Gail Cahill.Nancy is survived by her husband, Fred; a daughter, Gail (Jim) Cahill of Oneida; and three granddaughters, Julie (Mike) McVey of Monmouth, Jennifer (Keith) Kulow of Buckeye, IA, and Jaclyn Cahill of Oneida.
She is also survived by three special nieces, Nina Rocus of Itasca, Laurie (Michael) Peters of New Lenox, and Christine (Leon) Tatara of Gig Harbor, WA; and several other nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Jane White and Margaret Krynicki; and her son, David McCoski. Nancy was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
