Nancy Madden, aka Annie Devenny Madden, passed away on April 17th, 2018 at the age of 80, after more than a decade of battling MDS, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a blood cancer. Nancy was a strong and optimistic spirit who hailed from Maghery, Donegal, Ireland. She comes from a large, loving, Irish family. She had 10 brothers and sisters and 38 nieces and nephews – most of them scattered around the Ireland, the US and the UK. She moved from Donegal to New York at age 18 and began a glamorous career in professional modelling. Simultaneously she attended nursing school at night and went on to become a home health nurse for wonderful people who she loved as if they were family. Nancy married Brian Madden in 1968.
