Nancy Brown, 96, passed away on April 22, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born on March 26, 1925 to Pasquale and Antoinette Votta who immigrated to Brooklyn, New York from Italy. Nancy loved living across the street from Ebbets Field where the Brooklyn Dodgers played for many years. Both of her parents held part time jobs during baseball season and would sometimes invite the players over for Sunday dinner of spaghetti and meatballs after the game. Nancy graduated from Girls’ Commercial High School and soon after met her beloved husband of 57 years, Michael.
Nancy and Mike raised their two sons in Brooklyn and after Mike retired from Port Authority of New York, they moved to sunny Arizona in 1979. Much to their joy, their sons soon followed. Nancy enjoyed cooking and would often host family and friends for dinner. She was also very devoted to her dogs that kept her company through these many years. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Michael and her oldest son Michael. She is survived by her son Patrick (Doreen), her grandchildren, Christina, Michael, Patricia, Timothy, Meghan and Kellie and several great grandchildren.
