NEW HARTFORD – Nancy L. Yelsits Dupill of New Hartford lost a long battle with illness on Thursday, February 5, 2015. Nancy, born in 1957 in New York, was a longtime resident New Hartford, graduated from Northwestern Regional 7, and worked in UCONN’s Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She leaves behind her mother, Lorraine, her brothers, Thomas, James, and Kerry, their wives, and her beloved son Justin. Nancy will be missed by five aunts and uncles, thirteen nieces and nephews, and countless friends. While we mourn her passing, Nancy rejoins the company of her father Julius and her sister Laura.Family and friends will remember Nancy for her big personality—and for her even bigger heart. Nancy’s special brand of irreverence marked everything she did. The Yelsits family remembers her wacky holiday gifts and the elaborate games she planned for her nieces and nephews. Many fellow patients will recall the antics she staged to lighten the mood of a hospital or doctor’s office. No matter how big the group, Nancy always stood out. She was the fun one. But there was much more to Nancy than her sense of humor. She was tremendously caring and generous. In spite of the challenges she faced in her own life, Nancy would insist on helping others with theirs. Nancy’s kindness touched everyone she knew, but one person had a special place in her heart. Nancy’s love for her son Justin will remain an inspiration for every parent.
