Nancy E. “Slick” White, 63 of Lost Creek passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 at United Hospital Center. She was born in Harrison County, January 26, 1947, daughter of the late Dorsey P. and Ada Gossett Shaver. Nancy was and LPN for many years. She is survived by one son, Jonathan Lee White, Lost Creek; one brother, Delbert Gossett; three sister-in-laws, Dorothy Waggoner, Spencer, WV, Ernestine Roseborough, OH, and Virginia Stoneking, FL; nephew, Tim and wife Dana White, Asheboro, NC and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlon “Gene” White in 2002; one brother, Robert K Shaver. Nancy was on the Board of Directors with the Children’s Treatment Center and a Red Cross CPR Instructor.
