Nancy A. (Bubel) Walker, 83, of Peru, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
Mrs. Walker was born April 2, 1933, in Peru to Vincent and Eunice (Marlatt) Bubel. She was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School. She married Donald D. Walker on April 6, 1952, at the First Congregational Church in Peru. Nancy was a member of the First Congregational Church in Peru. She worked together with her husband at ATT. She began her career as a telephone operator and worked her way up to office manager, retiring in 1978. Later, she and her husband worked together at Green River Lines for 13 years where she worked as a clerk, later as an office manager, and finally as a tour escort. Together, she and her husband enjoyed many trips around the country and the world. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and playing cards with friends.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; nieces; nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Bubel of Dallas, TX.
