Nancy (Appleby) Lusitani, 66, of Burlington, formerly of Plainville, beloved wife of 46 years to Anthony “Tony” Lusitani, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones.  Born in New Britain on January 4, 1945, she was the daughter of the late George Appleby and Helen (Cashman) Appleby.  

Nancy grew up in New Britain and graduated from New Britain High School.  She was a selfless woman whose generosity and thoughtfulness was felt by many. Nancy’s family was her passion and greatest love.  She took delight in her cherished pets, which she showed unconditional affection.  She loved to entertain, play cards and marbles with friends, cook, and have sleepovers with her many grandchildren.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her five children, Anthony “Tony” Lusitani and his wife Viviana, Marc Lusitani, Denise Lusitani and her husband Darek Tabaszewski, Doreen Lusitani-Carrillo and her husband Bobby Carrillo, David Lusitani and his wife Jolene, 8 grandchildren, Nico, Allyssa, Anya, Alena, Shea, Angelina, Bella and Cara, her brother George “Red” Appleby and his wife Cherry, sister Dolores Appleby, sister-in-law Phyllis Appleby, best friend Gail Daigle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Robert “Bob” Appleby.
