Nadine Vivian Overley passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, June 1, 2017 with family by her side. She was 84 years old. December 15, 1932 was a beautiful day, our loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother was born in Randall, Iowa. Nadine was the middle daughter of three. Her hard working parents owned a café on Main Street, in Story City Iowa. At age three Nadine’s father Merle became paralyzed from a car accident. Nadine and her brother and sister took on more of the responsibilities at the café. Nadine learned at a very early age how to be a strong, determined, caring, loving, and compassionate person. Nadine married Bill Overley on December 16th, 1954, and remained married with him 59 years, until Bill passed away from Alzheimer’s disease in December of 2013. Nadine never met a person she didn’t like, as a military wife she moved around the country and the world, where she met lifelong friends along the way. She worked as a stylist in the early years and later worked in the accounting department for Frontier Airlines. Then, toward the end of her career she assisted her children in their businesses. Along the way she made friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
