Nadine L. (Ley) Brock, 94 of Crawfordsville, passed away Monday December 10, 2018 at Whitlock Place in Crawfordsville.

She was born January 18, 1924 in Owen County, Indiana to the late John and Inez Ley. She married Bob L. Brock on June 15, 1947 at Clay City, IN. He passed away January 15, 2012.

She was a 1941 graduate of Clay City High School. She enlisted in the United States Navy in 1944 and served at the Fleet Post Office in New York City. She was discharged in 1946. She was a member of the American Legion.

She worked at the US Post Office in Clay City from 1942-1944 and 1946 to 1949. She was then a homemaker. She was an active member of Christ’s United Methodist Church at Crawfordsville, serving on numerous committees over the years, and chairing the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was later the chair of the Church’s Journal Review Workers who hand inserted advertisements in the local newspaper to raise funds for the Church’s mission work. She was an election worker at her precinct polling site for 30 years.

She is survived by her three children, Robert (Marsha) Brock of Toney, AL; Dianne Brock of Cumming, GA; and John (Carol) Brock, of Lafayette, IN. She has four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two dear nieces. She was preceded in death by her brothers John E. Ley and Earl F (Bud) Ley and grandson Michael Brock.
