Myrtle (LaPlante) Grace, wife of the late Walter J. Grace passed away at the age of 102, on February 28, 2016, in Middletown, CT and will be remembered lovingly by her family. She was the second of eight children born to the late Edmund and Mabel (Taylor) LaPlante in Chazy, NY on June 25, 1913. After attending Chazy Central Rural School, she graduated as a Registered Nurse from Mary Fletcher Nursing School in Burlington, VT. It was during her clinical training at Vermont State Hospital that Myrtle met her future husband. Myrtle and Walter married July 18, 1936 and moved to Connecticut, settling in Cromwell. Together they raised sons, James (Anne) of Old Saybrook, CT, Charles (Tamasin) of Greene, NY, and Francis (Lori) of Middletown, CT and daughters, Theresa (Ken) Martin of Erie, CO, Diana (Stephen) Sloan of Santa Barbara, California, Helena Rudderham of Amherst, Nova Scotia, and Kathleen (Ernest) Bouffard of Hamden, CT. Daughter Linda died in infancy.
