Myron J. Nauyok, 98, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on January 11, 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, and his grandsons, Eric and Christopher Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Gayron Johnson; his son, Mark Nauyok; granddaughter, Tammy Butler, and great-grandchildren, Katy Johnson, Shayla and Angel Butler.
Myron was born on December 25, 1918, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Joseph and Hilda Nauyok. He was an only child. He served in the Army during WWII. After a successful career in real estate in Milwaukee, he moved to Albuquerque and started his own real estate firm called Housefinders. He also built several homes in Albuquerque. He enjoyed cars and automobile racing. He fondly talked about his trips to the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500. He treasured the Corvettes and other fine cars he owned over the years. He also crafted beautiful handmade furniture for his family.
After retirement, he and Kathryn personally built a beautiful home on the lakefront at Conchas Dam, NM. They enjoyed water skiing, boating and sailing. Myron was still slalom skiing in his 80s. The two moved back to Albuquerque in 1998.
The family would like to thank the staff at Northridge Alzheimer’s Special Care for the kindness, care and friendship they gave to Myron and our family during the last two years.
