Myron Frank Tiemens, Jr., of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 20th, 2016, after a long illness. Myron was born May 12, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Anita Reis Tiemens and Myron Frank Tiemens, Sr.Myron graduated from W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia, and studied business and industrial engineering after graduation. After several years working as a driver for UPS, he was promoted to UPS gateway manager at Dulles International Airport in Sterling, Virginia. After taking early retirement due to a diagnosis of bone-marrow cancer, he moved to Temecula, California, and then to Bell Buckle, Tennessee. While living there, Myron met and married Rezza Veloso Gollena, originally from Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines.Upon hearing that her uncle Myron had passed away, one of Myron’s young nieces said, “I’m sorry he died, but I’m just glad he doesn’t have to lie in bed all day with nothing to do anymore.” That’s because with Myron, there was never a dull moment. He always had a construction project under way, a cause to support, a friend or family member to help, a speech to make, delicious food to prepare and eat, a plan for travel, something nice to do for his wife Rezza, a fish to catch, a telephone call to make, a news show or sports event to watch on TV, a pet or wild-animal orphan to take care of, or another conspiracy theory to hatch. He was an early adopter of technology and was always the first in his circle to own the newest gadget. Myron played several sports recreationally and was a talented artist, woodworker, and chess player.Myron was preceded in death by his father Myron Frank Tiemens, Sr., and his brother Bruce James Tiemens. He is survived by his wife, Rezza of Bell Buckle, TN; his mother, Anita Reis Tiemens, three sisters, Karen Eddleman (Roger Eddleman), Shepherdstown, WV, Catherine Tiemens, Manassas, VA, and Sandra Tiemens Smith (Patrick Smith), Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers, Ronald Tiemens (Laurel Holaday Tiemens), Bealeton, VA, and John Tiemens, Rockville, MD; twelve nieces and nephews in the USA, Daniel Regan and Madeline Regan Lloyd, and Heather, Reuben, Jessica, Isaac, Elijah, Joshua, Zechariah, Sierra, Mara, and Rose Tiemens.
