Myrle W. Wilson, 97, passed away August 17, 2014 in Cañon City, Colorado. She was born January 7, 1917 in Sedgwick, Kansas to William Franklin and Dora May (Ewing) Warren. Myrle was united in marriage to William Wilson who preceded her in death. She is survived by six nieces, two nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Harper, and by her five sisters and two brothers. Myrle was an active member of the Cañon City Elkettes and the Eagles Auxiliary, holding offices in both organizations. Her working career included employment with Mountain Bell and also in an administrative capacity at Fort Carson. Myrle was an avid camper and fisherwoman. She was always very supportive towards her family and friends. They will miss hearing about her memories and stories which made everyone laugh. Myrle was a true blessing to all who knew her. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the staff at the Legacy Center for their love and care. Appreciation also goes to the staff and volunteers at Sangre De Cristo Hospice for their excellent care and love.
