Rev. Murry L. “Buddy” Hammett, 75, of Sharpsburg passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born August 6, 1939 in Fulton County, GA to the late Willie Leon Hammett & Sara Ann Pitts Hammett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Oma Lee Stephens Hammett. Rev.
Buddy Hammett ministered to many people during his years as a pastor to several churches in Coweta County. He was a pastor at Hope Memorial Baptist Church, White Oak First Baptist Church, and Rock Springs Baptist Church.
