Muriel Margaret (Carter) (Suller) Clare was born on February 12, 1924 in New Haven, CT to Anna & Jack Carter. The angels took her to heaven on November 11, 2011 – 9 years to the day that her husband, George Clare departed this earth. She loved her 2 sisters (Elizabeth Peach, Clearwater, FL and Mary Jane Bertolini, Old Lyme, CT) and her brother (John (Jack) Carter, deceased). She was a loving mother to 4 daughters (Dianne Suller, Greenfield, MA; Linda Delaney, East Haven, CT; Eileen Suller, Middletown CT; Elizabeth Creager, West Chester, PA), Nana to 9 grandchildren and Nana Clare to 10 great-grandchildren; she showed us how to live and love. To her treasured nieces & nephews, she was ‘fun Aunt Muriel.’ She was full of life, spirit, strength and spunk! She was a friend to everyone she met, an angel to anyone who needed her, and grateful for the opportunity to help; she loved to be useful. She lived by example -not judging, always forgiving; joking with everyone & had a special gift for putting people at ease. She was a faithful Catholic with God as her compass who enjoyed walking, golfing, biking, babysitting, ceramics, gardening and everything life had to offer – most of all, she enjoyed her family. The family cheerleader, she was supportive & encouraging. She worked in payroll and inventory for Armstrong Rubber/Pirelli Tire in New Haven, CT. She and her husband George happily retired to N. Fort Myers, FL in 1986 where she had good friends at Riverbend Golf Villas and St.
