Muriel I. Keeler Muriel I. Keeler, 89, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Gerald Keeler, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Danbury Hospital. Mrs. Keeler was born in Danbury, March 11, 1924, daughter of August and Marie (Huber) Wagner. She attended Danbury schools and completed her nursing training at the Danbury Normal School. Upon the opening of Filosa Convalescent Home, Mrs. Keeler was employed as their first registered nurse. She then worked for many years as a school nurse in the Windsor, CT school system. A great lover of cats, she adopted and raised many of the strays that were abandoned near her home. She was a loving neighbor, friend and loved by all those that were part of her family. Muriel will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
