Muriel I. (Fafard) (Slover) Durocher, 81, of Putnam, went to be with our Lord Jesus July 2, 2017, while at Hartford Hospital.  She was born May 27, 1936, in Putnam, CT, a daughter of Armand and Mary Rose (Frechette) Fafard.  Muriel loved her family first, and if you were a friend, you were family. She loved being a caregiver and was a CNA at Windham Hospital. She loved to cook and to read. Her favorite place was the Nubble Light House in Maine.

In addition to her husband Richard L. Durocher, of 15 years, she is survived by her sisters, Theresa Lemaire, Connie Roy, Jeanne Weaver, and Elaine Ives, and brother, David Fafard. She was the loving mother of Mark Slover, Elaine Morrissette, and John Slover and their spouses, and Jason Slover, and stepmother to Leo Durocher, Ida Lewis, and Amy Bassett and their spouses. She leaves 17 grandchildren and 9 great-children, and was fondly known as Aunt Mimi to many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Myrle (Bill) Slover, and a stepson, Roy Durocher.
