Muriel E. Murray of Poplar St. passed from this life on September 7, 2018 after a long illness. She was the wife of David Murray for fifty nine years. Born in Blackstone, she was the youngest daughter of the late Theodore and Germaine (Dalpe) Landry.

Muriel attended St. Louis School in Woonsocket, and the Coaticook School in Quebec, Canada. She worked for many years at Whiting and Davis and in retirement worked part-time in her “Dream Job” as a greeter at Wal-Mart. She and her husband loved to travel in their “Murray Mobile” camper and spent several winters in Ft. Myers Beach, FL. Muriel loved to shop, patronize local restaurants and spend time with family and friends. She and David volunteered at local soup kitchens and were active members of St. Joseph’s and All Saints parishes in Woonsocket. She was also active in the Woonsocket YMCA.

Besides her husband she leaves her loving children, Michelle Lapierre and her husband Jerry and John Murray and his wife Laurie (Roy) all of Woonsocket; Bernell Murray and his wife Maristella (Marques) of Parkland, FL; Melissa Marquis and her husband Robert of Acton, ME; and Laurie Dyer and her husband Dr. Rupert Dyer of Leesburg, GA; grandchildren,  Kerin MacPherson of North Smithfield; Kathryn Coyne and Krista Carella of Kailua, HI; Jordan and Bradley Murray of Boise, ID; Emily Atlee and Meredith Marquis of Acton, ME; Daniel Benoit and Elizabeth Murray of Woonsocket; Rupert and Willa Dyer of Leesburg, GA; and Mason Murray of Parkland, FL; and seven great-grandchildren Julianna, Cadence, Jack, Bruce, Clark, Tyler and Angelo. She is also survived by her siblings, Pauline Landry of Woonsocket, and Robert Landry and Lucille Ortner of Sarasota, FL. She was predeceased by a sister Gabrielle Jordan.
